Does having an admission basis influence how much people trust museums? Museums are trusted. In fact, museums are very trusted. They are trusted even by people who don’t visit them. People believe US museums are highly credible sources of information, generally do not have a political agenda, and should recommend behaviors to the public in support of their missions.
